You wanted a best friend, but…

Instead you have a dog that drags you down the street, barks and lunges at other dogs and people and is simply more work than you ever imagined!

Puppy Training

The relationship starts here!  Puppyhood is an exciting time, but it’s not without its challenges.  We provide preventative maintenance as well as custom training to tackle puppy mischief such as – nipping, jumping, crate training, housebreaking, house manners and more.

Adolescent/Adult Dog Training

Together, we will work to transform your dog into the dog you dreampt they would be.  We can help make walks more enjoyabe, outings less stressful, teach your pup to settle at the end of the day, and much more.

Several months ago, my husband and I were blessed with the arrival of our Boxer Boy, Max. Max “found us” through Adopt A Boxer Rescue. Little is known about Max’s past. He is believed to be 5 years old and lived most of his life with an elderly man. It was reported that he is dog reactive; having had little or no socialization with other dogs. We have found him to be a sweet and loving dog with people; needing a few moments to assess that there is no threat to him or us when someone new enters our home. Having had dogs, including several Boxers, throughout our lives, we considered ourselves veteran dog owners who could tackle anything. We quickly realized that was not the case.

Enter Lori; referred to us by a dear friend. We reached out to Lori with our concerns about Max’s behavior, specifically his reactivity towards other dogs and initial anxiety around new people. Lori has been a godsend to Max, Joe and I. We could not be more thankful for the time, patience, energy and kindness she has invested in our family. Lori opened Joe and I up to a whole new world of insight into canine behavior, body language, and training methods. She has taught us many techniques to better understand and communicate with Max to attain the goal of reducing some of the anxiety in his daily life.

Lori possesses an incredible gift; demonstrated consistently in all her interactions with Max and us. It is quickly evident that she approaches each dog with an open mind; seeking first to understand more about the dog and the dog’s owners. Her holistic and deep knowledge of dog behavior, excellent observational skills, training methods and compassionate approach resulted in positive outcomes for all of us!

Lori’s patience while training Max was important; her patience while training Joe and I was amazing! We are so thankful for all that Lori has done for us and highly recommend Lori to anyone in need of help from a trainer!
